It's a fact: the authorities of Benin and Burkina Faso don't get along like thieves. But the armed forces of the two countries sometimes collaborate in the fight against terrorism.

While giving an interview to the national press last Friday, the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, revealed that he himself had ordered his army to come to the aid of that of Benin last May.

When the drones arrived at the border between the two countries, they actually noticed that "terrorists were gathering not far from the base (of the Beninese detachment) and they struck."

For the soldier, the most important thing is the neutralization of the threat.

The attack that was being prepared was, therefore, aborted. For Captain Traoré, this fact proves that the military of the two countries cooperate, because for the soldier, the most important thing is the neutralization of the threat. They do not concern themselves with the war between the heads of state.
