What was meant to be a moment of celebration turned into tragedy. In Nigeria, armed men stormed a wedding party last Saturday, opening fire on the crowd. The bride's father and an entertainer known as Victor were killed.
According to Punch, which reported the information, the events took place in Lagos, in the Ikotun district, near Governor's Road.
The panicked guests fled without looking back.
"They shot them and they died instantly."
A witness interviewed by Nigerian media recounted that after causing a stampede, the armed men approached the unfortunate Victor. They dragged him into the street and began beating him with their weapons. The bride's father, seeing the entertainer being brutally attacked, tried to intervene. The bandits did not appreciate this.
"They shot them both and they died instantly," the witness recounted. Lagos State police spokesman Abimbola Adebisi stated that an investigation was underway.
