Questions écrites : Guy Marius Sagna obtient des réponses du gouvernement
In a note received by Seneweb today, the government responded to three written questions from MP Guy Marius Sagna, concerning major concerns affecting several regions of Senegal.
Telecommunications network coverage
The government has informed that the Telecommunications and Postal Regulatory Authority (ARTP) has been contacted regarding telecommunications network coverage problems for the village of Cagnout (Lower Casamance), the Niokolo-Koba National Park, and the Senegal River Valley (Woudourou, Nima, Tiguere Yene, Coundel).
ARTP was also asked about its internal management of the special bonus, recruitment and benefits.
Bridge construction
The Minister of Infrastructure responded that the Dodel 1, Dodel 2, and Savoigne bridges are among the priority projects for opening up access to isolated areas. Preliminary technical studies have been completed, and the government is seeking funding for these bridges.
Electrification of the village of Mbam Djigane
The government stated that the village of Mbam Djigane has been electrified since 2025. Of the 64 localities in the commune of Mbar, two are covered by the Weldy project and 43 localities are planned under the PAMACEL 2 project.
Payment of village chiefs' emoluments
The government has acknowledged that 1,178 out of 3,788 village chiefs in the Tambacounda, Kaffrine, and Kaolack regions are experiencing delays in receiving their salaries due to difficulties implementing the e-payment platform. Corrective measures have been initiated.
