Taïba Niassène : Inauguration d'un centre de santé de nouvelle génération pour l'amélioration des soins médicaux
The spokesperson for Medina Baye Niasse, the Imam of Fayda Cheikh Mahi Ibrahima Niass, proceeded, this Sunday, to the inauguration of the health center of Taïba Niassène, in the department of Nioro, in the presence of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Health and Social Action, Serigne Mbaye, and administrative and customary authorities.
This facility, designed to meet the medical needs of a population of 37,800, was built thanks to the commitment of the NGO Alfityanu Humanitarian International (AHI), founded by Cheikh Mahi Cissé, and various community stakeholders, at a cost of approximately 1.3 billion CFA francs. Built on 15,000 m², it aims to improve access to healthcare in this religious city, the birthplace of Cheikh Al Islam El Hadji Ibrahima Niass, known as "Baye," and to reduce inequalities in healthcare. The infrastructure includes a maternity ward, a pediatric ward, and a urology department.
Speakers, including Mayor Mouhamadou Abib Niass and Faydatou Tidjania spokesperson Cheikh Mouhamadoul Mahi Alioune Cissé, highlighted the importance of the health center for local development and community cooperation, while reiterating the need for an inclusive and resilient health system for the future.
