[Billet d'humour] Abass, ticket composté chez Sonko
Politics is like mountaineering: everyone wants to reach the summit, but there's not enough room at the peak. The result? There's pushing, sliding, and sometimes, falling into the ravine... with elegance and a press release.
They also say that "the mountain gives birth to a mouse." Well, in Dakar, it gave birth to a mayor! Fewer councilors at the start, first at the finish. They call it express political ascent. No need for a sherpa, just solid compromises and a good breath to withstand the drafts of the city council.
As for antagonism, it seems it doesn't exist in politics. Indeed. We argue, we shout, we insult each other... then we end up at a restaurant in the evening. The real prize is the dish of the day.
And this August 25th is a day of glory for Abass Fall, the new borom ndakaaru, the man who digs political tunnels without a helmet or headlamp. And of pure disillusionment for Barthélémy Dias, Boy ndakaaru, whose mountain is justice, the media, and politics rolled into one. Three summits, one pair of shoes... inevitably, it hurts the feet.
In the end, Abass Fall didn't just climb the political mountain. He found Sonko's cable car. While Barth was out of breath on the steep slopes, he reached the summit... ticket validated, seat reserved.

Merci Seneweb
