La LONASE au chevet des supporters sénégalais au Maroc
In a show of generosity marking this month of March 2026, the Senegalese National Lottery wanted to demonstrate its concrete support for our compatriots in difficulty abroad.
“During this blessed month of Ramadan – for Muslims – and Lent – for Christians –,” LONASE decided to take action to help “18 Senegalese football fans detained in Morocco.” True to its social mission, the institution, through its foundation, mobilized significant resources: “LONASE, via the Lonase Foundation, disbursed 18 million CFA francs, at a rate of 1 million CFA francs per detained fan.”
This initiative is not an isolated case. It falls directly within the framework of the national solidarity appeal launched by the Senegalese government to support our compatriots who remain, against their will, in Morocco. With this gesture, the national lottery perfectly illustrates its historic slogan: "Fortune to the subscribers, profits to the Nation."
Under the leadership of its Director General, Dr. Toussaint Manga, LONASE "is committed to always standing by Senegalese people in distress and need, wherever they may be." This statement also notes that "LONASE's contribution to the country's economic and social development efforts has grown significantly in recent years."
