The first Congress of PASTEF – The Patriots was marked by strong popular mobilization, but also by the notable presence of some forty delegations from Africa and other regions of the world, from Venezuela to Mauritania, via Palestine, Rwanda, France and many other countries.

This international participation goes beyond the simple statutory framework and testifies to the growing interest in a political vision based on patriotism, sovereignty, good governance, social justice and the defense of the interests of peoples.

History teaches us that major international political families have emerged from convergences of shared values and aspirations. Without jumping to conclusions, the question therefore deserves to be asked: 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐬-𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐚𝐮𝐱 𝐩𝐫𝐞́𝐦𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐝'𝐮𝐧𝐞 « 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐭𝐞 » 𝐫𝐞́𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞́𝐬 𝐚̀ 𝐥𝐚 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐭𝐞́ 𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐄́𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐬, 𝐚̀ 𝐥𝐚 𝐝𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞́ 𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐮𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐞𝐭 𝐚̀ 𝐮𝐧 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞́ 𝐬𝐮𝐫 𝐥𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐦𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐞𝐥 ?

If this dynamic is generating so much interest, it is also because it is based on a political vision championed in particular by a visionary and audacious leader, born in our tropics, Mr. Ousmane SONKO, who has helped to put essential issues such as economic sovereignty, control of strategic resources and the right of nations to freely choose their path of development back at the heart of the debate.

It is certainly too early to speak of a structured international organization. But the presence of some forty delegations in Dakar constitutes a strong signal, not to say a decisive impetus: that of a current of ideas which now transcends the borders of Senegal and which could, in time, unite political forces sharing the same aspirations throughout the world.
