He reclaims the reins of initiative, frees himself from the moral tutelage of his former mentor, and gives himself the necessary space to deploy his own vision of development. It remains to be seen whether this methodologically driven transitional government will be able to transform this technical compromise into concrete economic successes for the Senegalese people.
