Une page sur deux cent seize (Par Alioune NDIAYE)
We owe the following sentence to the veterinarian, writer and poet Birago Diop: “When the
memory goes to look for wood, it brings back the bundle it likes. " This assertion is
all the more truthful when it comes to writing, whether in the form of a biography
or "progress report". Autobiographical works are rare, especially when they
come from politicians or public figures, who do not create
controversies upon their publication, so much so that the intention behind their production is
imprint of cognitive biases.
President Macky Sall's book, "Africa at Heart," is no exception to this
rule. Especially in our era, fond of storytelling and "retouched" portraits,
telling or showing oneself is always done through beautifying filters. I don't
could not therefore, reasonably, at the end of reading the publication of the old
president, make any criticism of him along these lines.
I cannot, therefore, blame him for highlighting this famous assessment.

Nor will I be very critical of this candor, which has the appearance of servitude.

geopolitics. Reading these chapters, these words came to mind:
the immense professor Cheikh Anta Diop, to Nigerien students during a
conference in Niamey in 1984: “I think that the harm that the occupier did to us is not

substance, of our soul, and when we think we have got rid of it, we have not yet
done completely... This is a bit what happened to the African intelligentsia because
that all the questions you asked me come down to one: When is

Throughout these hundred pages, the only question is this: When
Will the West take Africa seriously, respect it and deal with it?
as equals? But the answer always comes to us from the august Senegalese scholar,
response which, forty years later, sounds like an irrevocable sentence: "But the
supports that you seek, you will not have them because it is a world, it is a
universe of ideologues that you will have in front of you." Without being very comfortable
comfortable with the fact that the former Head of State, like many of his peers, is not
not yet recovered from his illusions, I can nevertheless grant him that.
What I find inexplicable and unacceptable, however, is the lightness and
nonchalance with which President Macky Sall approached the riots that took place
took place in Senegal between 2021 and 2024, and which left more than eighty dead. Twenty-
four lines, spread between pages 54 and 55, were enough for him to get rid of the
problem, concluding chapter 6 with these words: “Faced with this gratuitous violence,

Is it with this argument that he intends to justify the most extreme state violence?
murderous attack on unarmed civilians in the history of our Republic? How
Can someone who has been the highest authority in the country say "he is well known
public" instead of providing us with tangible evidence? Where are these
foreigners of the far-left current as well as these members of the "brothers
Muslims"? Given that the Salafist threat has suddenly transformed into
"Brotherhood" threat in the mainstream discourse coming from France.
This speech is reminiscent of that of President Senghor following the massacre.
of December 1, 1963, on the Boulevard du Centenaire, which had left forty officially recognized dead and two hundred and fifty injured; he said, in responding to the
question from the French journalist who pointed out to him that it must be a
serious decision to give the order to fire on a crowd of demonstrators:
"I could have turned the question back on you and said, ask the opposition that
started by shooting at the security service. The security service had
instructions to fire only as a last resort, only if he was in a state of
self-defense, and that's what happened. The protesters, most of whom
were not Senegalese, fired on the security service who, after warnings,
was forced to retaliate"
Isn't it strange to have the same language elements at over sixty years old?
gap? In any case, I am personally one of those who believe that
the exercise of the monopoly of legitimate violence must be proportional to the threat, and
that assault rifles have no place in a demonstration of civilians armed with
stones and sticks. An M16, which has a range of 1,500 meters, is lethal up to 8004
meters.
We would therefore have to make this systemic break which would mean that no man
politician will no longer dare to "assume" the death of nearly a hundred of his fellow citizens
to then want to present himself to the world as a providential leader.
So no, Mr. President, I will never be able to understand that a moment
as serious as the history of our Nation is in your book only one page on
two hundred and sixteen!

L'appel insurrectionel ne peut être l'actif de Macky Sall donc par conséquent il est nullement responsable des morts. Cette responsabilité est à liée à la mission de l'armée qui est d'assurer à tout prix la défense nationale. La bibliothèque universitaire brûlée est bien une preuve intangible d'acte insurrectionel

Cela témoigne que souvent ceux qui s'agitent au devant de lla scene médiatique et donneurs de lecons ont souvents des objectifs bien définis, il n'ya que les naifs pour se faire avoir par ce genre de personnages.

Nous avons connu et aimé Alioune Ndiaye en tant que "intellectuel sérieux et rigoureux" mais de paître dans les douces herbes du cercle de Panurge, on finit par s'oviniser.
Vraiment grand, tu vaux bien mieux que ce torchon,...truffé de fautes de collégien...
Alioune a commencé à dériver dans une bulle narcissique depuis quelques années, les derniers series d'interventions que j'avais suivi sur une chaine youtube montre une décadence intellectuelle flagrante.
J’ai connu Alioune Ndiaye au lycée Lamine Guèye. Même si j’obtenais de meilleurs résultats que lui, il restait brillant. Je lui recommanderais de prendre du recul vis-à-vis de la politique, pour préserver son objectivité et retrouver toute sa hauteur intellectuelle , ce niveau de publication et cette rationalité ne lui fait pas honneur.
Ça c’est la vieille école, le style est dépassé, la critique littéraire a évolué, et ce monsieur mbac doit faire le update et nous revenir avec un langage plus contemporain
Une très belle contribution ! Les Senegal si doivent bien faire la différence entre extraits ou produits et résultats ultimes ou effets. L'ancien président a essayé d construire le pays dans un contexte qui nous a été imposé. Le BRT, le TER, l'autoroute à péage sont de loin le cadet des priorités de la population sénégalaise. Non seulement le problème de coût efficacité s'impose mais aussi l'utilité et l'appropriation en sont dépourvues. Le pays avait besoin des réformes structurelles sur le secteur primaire, des infrastructures de pointe dans l'agro-industrie, une revalorisation des terres et leurs redistribution équitable aux agriculteurs, des subventions d'exploitation, des financements durables pour appuyer les agriculteurs, etc... Hélas tout, pendant 12 années, a été consacré à Dakar au détriment des autres régions à forte potentialité.

manifestement aussi il a piégé et ses anciens ministres et autres collaborateurs trempés et ses successeurs, il les a piégés en falsifiant, en surfacturant, en blanchissant, en cachant... Ses collaborateurs sont responsables, c'est lui le premier responsable Si rien de tout cela n'est vrai, ben pourquoi il ne veut plus venir ici
même à la banque, entre un agent et son collègue, il y a un état des lieux après le passage de témoins, et s'il y a malversation présumée..., a fortiori quand il s'agit d'un pays
on n'a encore jamais vu un ex président sénégalais aussi hyperactif, aussi inquiet, aussi troublé, aussi agité

Etre au coeur du pouvoir peut effectivemment corrompre l'Esprit , L'Ame et le Coeur.

Ce monsieur est simplement entrain de justifier son poste et ses émoluments de conseiller du président , sinon dans n'importe quel état dans le monde s'il y insurrection l'état doit faire face désolé pour les dégâts collatéraux .
