Coopération bilatérale : Une délégation guinéenne hôte de la gendarmerie sénégalaise
The Senegalese National Gendarmerie received, on Thursday, August 28, 2025, a delegation from the Republic of Guinea composed of seven national actors engaged in the fight against human trafficking and similar practices. This visit marks an important step in the strengthening of bilateral cooperation between the two neighboring countries, Seneweb learned from Colonel Ibrahima Ndiaye.
This meeting is part of a process of strengthened collaboration between Senegal and Guinea to combat the scourge of human trafficking. The mission aims to enable institutional stakeholders from both countries to identify and analyze the main challenges related to this cross-border phenomenon.
The exchanges also aim to promote the sharing of respective experiences and to lay the foundations for a formal framework for collaboration to effectively combat trafficking in all its forms.
Welcomed by Brigadier General Assane Bèye, Commander of the Territorial Gendarmerie, the Guinean delegation received a technical presentation led by the Deputy Chief of the National Gendarmerie Intelligence and Operations Center (CROGEND). This session was followed by fruitful discussions on the fight against human trafficking.
The meeting ended in a spirit of brotherhood with a symbolic exchange of gifts between the two delegations. A souvenir photo immortalized this moment of cooperation between the institutions of the two countries, marking the mutual commitment to this common struggle.
This initiative illustrates the desire of both countries to develop concrete cooperation mechanisms to address a security challenge that transcends national borders and requires a coordinated approach at the regional level.
