Dakar accueille le 9e Symposium des Chefs d’état-major et Commandants de garde-côtes du Golfe de Guinée
The Senegalese capital will host the 9th Symposium of Chiefs of Staff and Coast Guard Commanders of the Gulf of Guinea from November 17 to 19, 2025. Organized by the Senegalese Navy, the symposium will take place at the NOOM Hotel. Chaired by the Minister of the Armed Forces, this major event, which brings together more than 27 navies and coast guards from three continents, will focus on the theme "Cooperation between the Gulf of Guinea and the nations of the Atlantic area: developing synergies for security and prosperity."
Conferences, panels, and exhibitions will punctuate three days of intensive discussions, during which participants will share their visions on the security of the Gulf of Guinea and the Atlantic region. "From November 17 to 19, Dakar will be the capital of maritime security in the Gulf of Guinea," the official statement emphasizes, highlighting the importance of these synergies for regional stability and economic prosperity.
This meeting, which aims to strengthen intercontinental cooperation in the face of growing security challenges, brings together delegations from Africa, Europe and the Americas, and is part of Senegal's strategy for regional leadership in maritime defense.
