Mort d’Ali Khamenei : Cheikh Niang a présenté les condoléances du Sénégal à l’ambassade d’Iran
Five days after the announcement of the death of the Supreme Leader of the Iranian Revolution following the US-Israeli military operation in Tehran, the Senegalese government expressed its diplomatic solidarity. The Minister of African Integration and Foreign Affairs, Cheikh Niang, visited the residence of the Iranian ambassador on Friday to sign the book of condolences.
According to the Senegalese Press Agency (APS), which provided the information, the head of Senegalese diplomacy was received shortly after 9:30 a.m. at Fann-Résidence by the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Dakar, H.E. Hassan Asgari.
The two diplomats then headed towards the room housing the book of condolences, which the minister signed in tribute to the late Iranian leader.
They then spoke privately for about fifteen minutes before the Minister of African Integration, Foreign Affairs and Senegalese Abroad left the premises shortly after 10:15 a.m., without making a statement.
