Salon International des Inventions : Le "Baby Bloom" de Bougane Guéye Dany sacré d’Or à Genève
At the prestigious Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions in 2026, the medical innovation "Baby Bloom" won the Gold Medal. Designed by entrepreneur Bougane Guéye Dany, who is also a politician and media mogul, this connected belt is now emerging as a major solution for maternal and neonatal health worldwide.
The "Baby Bloom" is more than just an accessory; it's a "smart medical device" capable of remotely monitoring the vital signs of both mother and fetus. Thanks to "integrated biometric sensors" and a secure data transmission system, the device allows healthcare professionals to access crucial information in real time.
This technology particularly impressed the international jury of experts with its "potential impact on improving prenatal care." By facilitating the "early detection of potential abnormalities," the device promises faster medical intervention, thus reducing the risk of often fatal complications during pregnancy.
A lever for medical deserts
One of the major advantages of this invention lies in its ability to overcome geographical barriers. According to its inventor, the goal is to put technology "at the service of maternal health," particularly in "remote areas where access to medical facilities remains limited." Whether in rural areas of Africa, Asia, or Latin America, the "Baby Bloom" provides continuous monitoring where infrastructure is lacking.
“Our ambition is to help reduce pregnancy-related risks through technology,” explains Bougane Guéye Dany. This award marks a significant milestone for the inventor, whose expertise had already been recognized with the “Life Guard” connected bracelet. As the potential of African innovation in telehealth is highlighted more than ever, the company is already preparing for the market: the “Baby Bloom” belt is officially slated for commercial launch in June 2027.
