Dakar accueille l’innovation africaine : La demi-finale d’Africa’s Business Heroes
On September 10 and 11, 2025, Dakar will become the scene of a unique entrepreneurial boom. For the first time, the Senegalese capital will host the semi-finals of Africa's Business Heroes, a competition that celebrates innovation and social impact across the continent.
Twenty entrepreneurs from nine African countries competed for grants of up to $300,000. Selected from over 32,000 applications, these finalists represent the diversity and creativity of Africa's future. Their projects span strategic sectors such as health, tech-enabled agriculture, education, and renewable energy, embodying the desire to combine profitability and social impact.
Beyond the competition, the event highlights Senegal's emergence as a French-speaking hub for continental entrepreneurship. Holding this semi-final in Dakar sends a strong signal: the country is positioning itself as a key hub for innovative initiatives and African talent, capable of attracting international investors and partners.
This event illustrates an Africa that is reinventing itself, where young entrepreneurs and local innovations transform ideas into concrete solutions to address economic and social challenges. The Africa's Business Heroes semi-final in Dakar is not just a competition, but a symbol of the continent's creative power and ambition.
