Du coffre-fort à la plateforme : Le Trésor sénégalais se réinvente

Senegal's Public Treasury is embarking on a phase of profound transformation, seeking to move beyond its traditional role as a simple revenue collector. With the integration of digital tools such as SenTrésor and ComCom, the institution aims to modernize all of its operations, from public fundraising to expenditure management. This digitalization is part of Vision 2050 and reflects the desire to transform the Treasury into a driver of efficiency and transparency.

The expected benefits are not limited to administrative simplification. The adoption of automated systems makes it possible to track every financial flow, reduce processing times, and improve internal control. By making the use of public resources more visible, the Treasury creates a lever of trust for citizens and investors. This approach could also inspire other public financial institutions to adopt similar standards, strengthening the country's credibility and economic attractiveness.

This transformation is accompanied by a cultural shift within the administration. Treasury officials must now combine traditional expertise with digital skills to manage sophisticated tools and growing volumes of data. The goal is to create a more agile department, capable of anticipating the government's financing needs and contributing directly to national strategic priorities, from industrialization to infrastructure modernization.

By projecting itself as a driver of economic and institutional transformation, the Senegalese Treasury illustrates its desire to make public management a factor of growth and strengthened governance. If this strategy succeeds, it could serve as a model for West Africa, where the digitalization of public finances remains partial, while laying the foundations for a more transparent and efficient state.

Le paiement digital est mis en place depuis au moins 2 ans maintenant mais se limitait juste à Dakar. J'espère avec cette annonce que ce projet sera élargi aux régions. Bon courage.
