The Ministry of Economy, Planning and Cooperation's 2026 draft budget is set at 39,281,075,505 FCFA, in both commitment authorizations (CA) and payment appropriations (PA). This allocation reflects the State's priorities in terms of economic governance, strategic planning, and development cooperation.

The budget allocation is structured around three major programs. Specifically, 13.36 billion FCFA is earmarked for cooperation, public-private partnerships, and support for the private sector. The 2022 program, dedicated to cooperation and the development of public-private partnerships as well as support for the private sector, will benefit from a budget of 13,355,741,748 FCFA in both commitment and payment appropriations (AE and CP) by 2026. These funds are allocated as follows: 631,075,000 FCFA for personnel expenses, 284,016,748 FCFA for the acquisition of goods and services, 440,650,000 FCFA for current transfers, and 12,000,000,000 FCFA for capital transfers.

According to the report of the work in committee, the predominant share of capital transfers demonstrates the desire to support structural investments and strengthen the role of the private sector in economic growth.

 

The 2034 program, dedicated to strategic governance, statistical coordination and economic planning, concentrates the bulk of the resources with 24,247,678,940 FCFA in AE and CP.

The allocation of funds is as follows: personnel expenses will amount to 1,016,162,990 FCFA, acquisitions of goods and services 1,019,614,356 FCFA, current transfers 10,986,085,161 FCFA, investments executed by the State 9,725,816,433 FCFA, and capital transfers 1,500,000,000 FCFA. This program forms the basis for national planning and the monitoring of public policies.

Program 1032, concerning the steering, coordination, and administrative management of the Ministry, has a budget of 1,677,654,817 FCFA in commitment and payment appropriations for the 2026 fiscal year. Personnel expenses, estimated at 815,870,000 FCFA, are a central component, ensuring the smooth operation of services. With a total budget of 39.28 billion FCFA, the Ministry of Economy, Planning, and Cooperation aims to strengthen the coherence of public policies, improve the quality of economic planning, and consolidate partnerships to support national development.
