Rentrée Portuaire 2026 : Le Port de Dakar dévoile son plan de transformation à 26 milliards

The Autonomous Port of Dakar (PAD) reached a decisive milestone in its history on February 10, 2026, during its Port Opening Ceremony held at the Grand Théâtre. This solemn event served as the setting for the official presentation of the 2025-2029 Strategic Repositioning Plan, an ambitious roadmap focused on modernization and regional cooperation.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of numerous high-ranking officials, reflecting the port's crucial role in the country's economic structure. Among the officials were Mr. El Hadj Malick Ndiaye, President of the National Assembly, as well as a significant ministerial contingent including Dr. Fatou Diouf (Fisheries and Maritime Economy), Mr. Déthié Fall (Infrastructure and Transport), Ms. Khady Diène Gaye (Youth and Sports), and Mr. Amadou Ba (Tourism and Culture).

The sub-regional dimension was highlighted by the participation of Her Excellency Ms. Dembelé Madinah Sissoko, Minister of Transport of Mali, thus reaffirming the historical link between Senegal and its hinterland. Mr. Mouhamadou Ngouda Mboup, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Mr. Waly Diouf Bodiang, Managing Director, also welcomed representatives from customs, employers' associations, and the port community.

Faced with the rapid changes in global trade and competition from regional hubs, the Port of Douala (PAD) is undertaking a profound transformation. This structuring program, whose financing is fully secured, focuses on modernizing infrastructure and expanding port capacity. The plan notably includes the development of dry ports and logistics zones, strengthening land connectivity by rail and road, and enhancing the value of secondary and marina ports.

One of the major pillars of this transformation rests on the complete digitalization of processes. The deployment of a "Port Community System," the automation of invoicing and manifests, and the optimized management of continuous truck traffic aim to bring Dakar up to international standards of operational performance. This technical modernization is accompanied by institutional and legal reforms necessary for increased land control and a structured real estate program.

Beyond concrete and technology, this strategy embodies a new, results-oriented governance culture. The signing of performance contracts and the implementation of rigorous performance indicators now guarantee transparency and accountability for managers. By repositioning itself as the leading logistics hub in West Africa, the Autonomous Port of Dakar aims to attract massive new investments and generate thousands of jobs, reaffirming its role as an essential driver of the national economy.

Mdr s'il yavait pas le mot magique "hub" rek ma rouss. Ces gens pensent qu'un port ce sont des slogans magiques. Depuis 30 ans vous nous datiguez avec port de Dakar , hub ceci ,hub cela alors qu'un port comme celui de Lomé est maintenant largement devant.

Mais je pensais que le PAD devait être transféré à Ndayane ?? Pourquoi investir 28 milliards dans un site qui doit fermer d’ici 2028? Situé entre Goree, le cap Manuel et la voile d’Or Le PAD pourrait devenir un port de plaisance et un espace d’activités maritime ludique.

Le Président de la République et son gouvernement doivent ignorer imperturbablement ses thiakhaneries Politiciennes des Partisans et lobbies copains de Macky Sall. Cet ancien Président ne mérite aucun soutien officiel de ce régime. Comment peut on soutenir un ancien dirigeant qui a fait tuer près de 80 jeunes chiffres minimisés d'ailleurs à jamais) ???. Le Sénégal et sa jeunesse et son Peuple ont vraiment d'autres problèmes économiques étouffantes à gérer plutôt de parler de Macky au quotidien dans une presse quasi entière sous ses bottes Financières. Rubio et TRUMP ont déjà un candidat " civilisationel " qui conviennent à leur Monde raciste ou les immigrants sont considérés comme des hordes de barbares venus pour salir la civilisation occidentale pour ne pas " aryenne " comme l'autre moustachu tristement célèbre.
