Opening on October 16, 2025, the Business Forum highlighted the importance of regional cooperation to stimulate growth and investment. The President of the National Employers' Council, Baïdy Agne, called for strategic alliances between Senegalese companies and their African counterparts, estimating that annual investment needs could reach $120 billion by 2030, particularly in the infrastructure, energy, and digital sectors.
At the heart of this reflection, the African Continental Free Trade Area represents an essential lever for promoting intraregional trade and strengthening local value chains. According to Baïdy Agne, strengthening continental partnerships would not only pool resources and skills, but also improve the competitiveness and resilience of businesses in the face of global economic fluctuations.
The CNP President also highlighted Business Africa's role in promoting investment stability and security, while emphasizing the need to improve the business climate to attract capital and sustainably support the continent's economic development. The 2025 edition of the Assises de l'entreprise thus appears to be a strategic step towards consolidating African economic integration through concrete cooperation between private actors.
