Cérémonie d’excellence de l’inspection de l’éducation et de la formation de Kaffrine : Les meilleurs élèves et enseignants à l’honneur

The Kaffrine educational community celebrated academic excellence this weekend with a recognition ceremony organized by the Education and Training Inspectorate (IEF). The day served as an opportunity to reward the most deserving students and to pay tribute to the teachers and school leaders who have distinguished themselves through the quality of their results.

In his speech, the Inspector of Education and Training, Mbathie Gaye, congratulated the winners of the elementary mathematics competition. "We are gathered here to present prizes to the students who distinguished themselves through the excellence of their results in the mathematics competitions, in order to encourage and motivate them to persevere in this discipline, the mother of all sciences," he said.

Beyond the students, the IEF also wanted to honor the CM2 teachers whose classes achieved 100% success in the CFEE, in the 2025 session, as well as the middle school principals who shone through their performances.

"We are also gathered to honor the middle school principals who have distinguished themselves through their results and the excellence of their performances. These are the principal of the Diamagadio CEM, with 100% success, the principal of the Médinatoul Salam CEM, with 98.41%, and the principal of the Kathiotte CEM, with 97.33%," said Mr. Gaye, before saluting "the commitment, self-sacrifice and sense of duty" of these actors.

The inspector stressed that these remarkable results are "the result of hard work, great sacrifice and constant commitment throughout the school year." He urged teachers to "redouble their efforts to continually raise the level of qualification and excellence in the district."

While congratulating the winners, Mr. Gaye also wanted to encourage those who have not yet achieved such results: "Your work and efforts are just as valuable and deserve recognition."

Emphasizing the necessary synergy between all stakeholders in the education system, he called for general mobilization: "Academic success is the result of several factors: a good learning environment, motivated students, and parental support. In this regard, I take this solemn opportunity to launch a plea for the mobilization of all stakeholders around the school: local authorities, partners, supervisors, and parents."

Mr. Gaye also called on local authorities to "provide more support to the schools and establishments under their jurisdiction," while reaffirming the commitment of school authorities to "improve the supervision, monitoring and follow-up of teachers to encourage them to give the best of themselves."

Finally, addressing parents, he recalled their decisive role: "Children are our future. It is up to us to provide them with good support, to accompany them and to instill in them the culture of work and success."

Closing his speech on a hopeful note, Inspector Mbathie Gaye stressed that "in the quest for performance, professional conscience and work well done always pay off," before thanking "all those involved in education in the district" and inviting them to "go even further to achieve better results in the service of our country's development."
