Graduation de la première promotion de l'UCAK de Touba : 166 étudiants à l'honneur
The Cheikh Ahmadoul Khadim University (UCAK) of Touba reached a historic milestone on Thursday, April 23, three years after the launch of its educational activities in February 2023, by awarding its very first bachelor's degrees.
The graduation ceremony for its first class was presided over by Amadou Moustapha Ndieck Sarré, Minister of Vocational and Technical Training, in the presence of Serigne Bassirou Abdou Khadre, spokesperson for the Khalifa of the Mourides, and Professor Benoît Tine, Director of Higher Education.
In total, 166 students received their diplomas. Among them, 135 are from the UFR Islamic and Arabic Studies, sponsored by Sheikh Serigne Mbacké Bousso, and 31 from the UFR Sciences and Health Professions.
This ceremony was an opportunity to commend the educational model championed by UCAK, which harmoniously blends religious knowledge and modern sciences, producing human resources rooted in traditional values and open to the demands of the contemporary world. Backed by the Mouride brotherhood, this young university is thus progressively solidifying its place within the Senegalese higher education landscape, establishing itself as a symbol of excellence, knowledge, and innovation.
