LYNAQE : Des décrets signés pour accorder des indemnités spécifiques aux enseignants et au personnel

The Secretary General of the Ministry of National Education, Papa Malick Ndao, announced significant measures to support staff at the National Armed Forces High Schools for Quality and Equity (LYNAQE), including specific allowances for teachers and bonuses for administrative and military personnel. The announcement was made during a food distribution ceremony at the Kaffrine High School of Excellence (LYNAQE), aimed at improving students' dining and learning conditions.

In front of administrative authorities, teachers, students and parents of students, the secretary general revealed that the decree so eagerly awaited by the teachers of LYNAQE had been signed by the President of the Republic.

“There is also the famous decree that the union members were waiting for. The minister worked with the government so that the President of the Republic would sign it. He signed it yesterday and I brought it with me. This decree grants specific allowances to the teaching staff of LYNAQE,” announced Papa Malick Ndao.

He also indicated that the state has made arrangements to grant special bonuses to civilian and military personnel working in these establishments.

"When the State signed the decree on the organization and operation of LYNAQE on October 2, 2025, the government instructed the Minister of National Education to prepare all subsequent texts," he explained.

In this context, a decree was drafted to grant allowances to administrative and military personnel. Despite some delays in implementation, the Secretary General assured that the State would proceed with the payment of the amounts due.

"There has been some delay, but the State is ready to reimburse, in the form of a back payment, everything owed to administrative staff. They will simply need to produce the supporting documents and the State will proceed with the payment," he reassured.

According to him, these measures are part of the State's desire to consolidate the functioning of LYNAQE and to strengthen their attractiveness.

"The ambition is to make these high schools of excellence true centers of knowledge so that in the future these establishments can train presidents of the Republic, directors general, governors, ministers and other high-ranking officials of the country," he stressed.

The ceremony was also marked by the handover of a large quantity of food supplies intended for the meals of the students at the LYNAQE in Kaffrine. The ministry provided 20 tons of rice, 30 20-liter cans of oil, 100 cartons of one-liter cans of oil, totaling approximately 4,200 liters, as well as 2,750 kg of sugar, one ton of milk, two tons of millet, not to mention other products such as cheese, butter, and chocolate, among others.

Speaking to the students, Papa Malick Ndao reminded them of the importance of this support in an institution operating under a boarding school system.

“You are in a boarding school system. You benefit not only from the supervision of the school, but also from the support of the Senegalese government. You are placed in a system where the catering must be of quality, sufficient and balanced,” he said.

Present at the ceremony, the Kaffrine regional education inspector, Mamadou Niang, welcomed this support from the ministry, which comes after difficulties encountered in supplying food. He emphasized that good learning and supervision conditions are essential to maintaining student performance.

For his part, the commander of the Kaffrine LYNAQE, Colonel Cheikhouna Dieng, expressed his gratitude on behalf of the entire educational community. He assured them that these donations would be used responsibly to improve the well-being and performance of the students.

This initiative is part of the State's policy to strengthen science high schools in Senegal and to increase the number of such institutions in different regions of the country in order to promote academic excellence.
