Téléphones portables bannis : oui-non, chaque camp argumente
The Ministry of National Education's decision to ban the use of mobile phones in schools has sparked heated controversy among various stakeholders. Unions and parents' associations have denounced the measure as "excessive."
Teachers' unions particularly regret the lack of consultation. Interviewed by Le Soleil, the secretary general of CUSEMS, Ndongo Sarr, stated that "the ministry has accustomed us to acting unilaterally." For their part, parents, quoted by the same source, are concerned about their children's safety, believing the tool is essential. The president of UNAPEES, Abdoulaye Fané, told the national daily that "the phone allows parents to locate their children and react in the event of an accident or illness."
On the other hand, Le Soleil reports, the decision is welcomed by many school principals. Mouhamadou Mbengue, the principal of the Asselar school group, sees it as a "real relief" and a way to ensure "uniform and firm application" of the rule. Students' opinions remain mixed, with some acknowledging that phones "cause distraction" in class, while others emphasize their practical usefulness.

Nous avons fait le jardin d' enfant, l' école primaire et l' université sans téléphone et nous ne sommes pas aujourd' hui des sous hommes. J' ai HONTE quand je lis des propos comme ceux ci- dessous:
"Le télephone permet aux parents de localiser leurs enfants et d' intervenir en cas d' accident ou de malaise." Quel FÉNÉANT. je suis sûr qu' il a grandi sans internet et télephone. Les jeunes jouent et regardent les videos. Ils ne sont pas concentrés sur ce qu' ils font. Certains traversent la route les yeux fixés sur le smartphone. Les contacts sociaux réels se réduisent. Seuls les amis virtuels invisibles meublent la vie...après on devient dépendant comme un drogué.
Rester en France, Europe, Canada,USA à rêver et penser que tout le Sénégal c' est comme Dakar-Plateau ou Almadies.
