Suspension des activités pédagogiques pendant trois jours : Le CA-UCAD appelle les gouvernements scolaires et les amicales à faire appliquer le mot d’ordre
The social climate remains tense in Senegalese universities. The Autonomous Collective of Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar (CA-UCAD) has announced the cessation of all teaching activities on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays throughout the entire national territory.
In its statement, the CA-UCAD calls on the presidents of student governments to ensure strict adherence to this decision in both public and private schools. Local student associations are also mobilized to ensure the proper implementation of this measure.
This suspension of classes is part of a series of demands put forward by the students. The group is demanding, in particular, the release of detained student representatives, the revelation of the truth about the death of student Abdoulaye Ba, and the full payment of outstanding scholarships.
Through this mobilization, the movement's organizers intend to maintain pressure on the authorities until their demands are fully met. This situation could lead to significant disruptions in the academic calendar if no swift solution is found.
