Université de Ziguinchor : À peine ouvert, le restaurant ferme à nouveau ses portes
Closed since last Monday following the "no-ticket days" declared by students, the UASZ restaurant reopened this morning. A short-lived reopening. The reason: a group of students once again made headlines by attempting to impose the no-ticket days.
The CROUS/Z management reacted swiftly, deciding to close the restaurant immediately.
In a public statement, the university indicated that "despite calls for dialogue and a sense of responsibility, a group of students continued to organize days without meal tickets, notably this morning during breakfast, thus disrupting the normal operation of the catering service. The management of the Ziguinchor Regional Center for University Social Services (CROUS/Z) notes that the conditions necessary for the regular operation of the university restaurant are no longer met. Consequently, the Ziguinchor campus restaurant is closed until further notice, with immediate effect."
Furthermore, the management of CROUS/Z has decided to postpone the "coding operations to a later date, as the current situation does not allow them to be carried out under normal conditions," the note emphasizes.
