Ville de Thiès : 7 bourses d’études pour la Russie offertes aux meilleurs bacheliers
As part of the partnership between Thiès and the government of Sevastopol in the Russian Federation, seven (7) of the city's top high school graduates received university scholarships. The Mayor of Thiès, Dr. Babacar Diop, paid tribute to them before their departure for Russia, praising this cooperation which strengthens the future of young people from Thiès who will later serve their country.
The mayor organized a farewell reception in honor of the seven (7) high school graduates who received scholarships offered by the Russian Federation, within the framework of decentralized cooperation between the City of Thiès and Sébastopol. These scholarships, awarded by the Russian Embassy in Senegal, were granted to the top students from two prestigious schools: four (4) from the El Hadji Malick Sy high school, namely Ngouda Mbaye (L1), Mame Diarra Bousso Seck (L1), Amadou Bassirou Niang (L1) and Idrissa Seck (L1), and three (3) from the Ahmadou Ndack Seck high school, namely Gora Cissé (L2), Diama Sarr (L2) and Khady Seck (L2).
Of the 10 final-year students who had been shortlisted, only seven (7) passed the baccalaureate exam. On behalf of her classmates, Mame Diarra Bousso Seck thanked the municipality and reaffirmed their commitment to being worthy ambassadors for Thiès and Senegal. "We pledge to represent our city and our country with dignity in Russia. After our studies, we will return to serve our nation with loyalty and determination," she said.
Ms. Diana Klepatskaya, Consul of the Russian Embassy, representing Ambassador Dmitry Viktorovich Kurakov, congratulated the recipients and encouraged them to make the most of this opportunity. She emphasized the warm welcome they would receive and assured them that the embassy would support them throughout their academic stay.
The Mayor of Thiès, for his part, thanked the Russian Ambassador for his efforts and for the ongoing strengthening of ties between Russia, Senegal, and Thiès. He reiterated the strictly meritocratic nature of the selection process. "It wasn't nepotism that got you here. I don't know you, I don't know your parents. This is the result of your hard work."
He also reviewed the rigorous administrative process that led to the selection of the seven scholarship recipients, in collaboration with the Regional Education Inspector and the high school principals, based on scientific and academic criteria. Addressing the students, Dr. Babacar Diop emphasized their role as ambassadors for Thiès and Senegal, and the importance of human capital. "The development of our countries depends on training and education. We sincerely hope that you will be the future engineers of our development."
In conclusion, the Mayor pleaded for more scholarships to be awarded to students from Thiès. "We thank the embassy for the ten (10) scholarships offered. But we would like to obtain at least twenty (20) next year to allow more children from our city to access top universities around the world."

Annex̌èe par la Russie par la Force en 2014 , elle ( la crimèe) est aujourd'hui encore considerèe par la *communautè international * comme ucrainienne .
Le Senegal avait votè neutral à l'onu sur cette affaire .
La Crimèe aujourd'hui est devenue un enormous camp militaire Russe . .
Y a t il eu un changement de politique du senegal ?

Ils ne reviennent qu'a la retraite. C'est comme cela qu'on se retrouve avec des moins brillants pour diriger le Senegal: des djoutimane, avocat truand, ingenieur detourneur.... Il faut fermer l'ENA, c'est une ecole de hautes etudes en corruption.
Gardons et formons nos brillantes tetes, envoyons les cancres pour complement d'education a l'etranger. VOILA LA SOLUTION !
Dans un contexte d'instabilité on Fait pas prendre des risques insensésn à des jeunes inexpérimentés de la vie.
Au Sénégal il y a ce qu'il faut.
Administrer c'est anticiper.
Si des pays amis en viennent à octroyer directement des bourses à des maires ou à des particuliers, cela traduit malheureusement qu’ils ont perçu le déficit d’organisation, de rigueur et d’autorité des institutions compétentes dans notre pays.
Une telle situation est inadmissible et incompréhensible.
Dans le contexte géopolitique actuel, notamment s’agissant de la Russie, il est légitime de s’interroger sur le dessein réel de telles initiatives.
Cela pose un problème sérieux de souveraineté, de conformité aux lois et règlements nationaux, et de responsabilité institutionnelle.
Monsieur le Maire, il est impératif de connaître et de respecter les textes, procédures et règles en vigueur dans notre pays.
Ce qui se passe est extrêmement préoccupant et, il faut le dire, profondément navrant.
Ne condamnez pas ces jeunes
