Baisse des prix des produits pétroliers : Sédhiou affiche les nouveaux tarifs
The prices for petroleum and gas products have come into effect in Sédhiou. At the Total station in Bakhoum, the meters are displaying the new rates announced by the ministerial authority.
Aliou Dole, a motorcycle taxi driver, whom we met at the gas station refueling, sees this price drop as a sign of a brighter future. On the 10 km stretch between Sédhiou and Diendé, he says the fare will decrease from 1,000 CFA francs to 800 CFA francs.
The motorist found at the scene filling 20-liter jerrycans for the reserve also expressed his satisfaction: "We hope that further price reductions will follow, since Senegal is now among the oil and gas producing countries."
