Forêt de Boune : 2 dealers sur une moto pris en flagrant délit avec du kush et du chanvre indien
Following an anonymous tip reporting intense Indian hemp trafficking in the classified forest of Boune, members of the research brigade of the Yeumbeul-Sud police station carried out a raid on the site on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.
From their hideout, Lieutenant Sow's men spotted two individuals on a motorcycle taxiing near the forest. They were intercepted and subjected to a security search. The search proved fruitful: the police discovered nine bags of kush and loose cannabis, all carefully concealed in plastic bags, according to Seneweb sources. Two basic cell phones were also seized.
Taken to the Yeumbeul-Sud police station, the suspects identified themselves as Mr. Diop, 40 years old, a merchant residing in Yeumbeul. His accomplice, I. Bangoura, 42 years old, claimed to be a dockworker also living in Yeumbeul.
During their hearing, the two men gave contradictory statements. Mr. Diop admitted to owning the bags of kush. He also admitted to acquiring the drug to fuel his trafficking operation, but refused to reveal the identity of his supplier. In contrast, I. Bangoura claimed that the cannabis found in his possession was for his personal use.
In accordance with procedure, the seized drugs were placed under seal and the public prosecutor, Saliou Dicko, head of the Pikine-Guédiawaye prosecutor's office, was informed of the facts. An investigation has been opened.
