A 9th-grade student at Abdou Latif Guèye Middle School in the Gadaye neighborhood of Guédiawaye has been taken into custody by the Wakhinane Nimzatt police station. LR Ndiaye, the accused, is alleged to have scalded N. Guèye, also a 9th-grade student at the same school. Libération, which broke the story, reports that the incident occurred last Tuesday: “Around 7 p.m., the Wakhinane Nimzatt police station was informed that a girl had been scalded in the Gadaye neighborhood. Following police intervention, the victim was taken to the hospital by her parents. The accused was arrested and taken into custody.”
