On Tuesday, February 17, 2026, officers from the Kolda central police station's investigation unit seized 41.6 kg of cannabis in the Saré Dianfo neighborhood. The trafficker fled and is actively being sought, according to Seneweb sources.

This seizure followed a tip-off received around 8 a.m. from a forestry officer reporting a drug trafficker. At the location indicated, investigators discovered a black and blue TVS motorcycle, without a license plate, carrying three bags containing the seized drugs.

According to the forestry officer on a routine patrol, the motorcyclist refused to stop and fled, abandoning his vehicle and cargo.

The public prosecutor at the Kolda High Court has been informed. The fugitive is actively being sought.
