The Faidherbe Research Brigade, under the command of Major Tine, dismantled an organized drug trafficking and prostitution ring operating in the Ngor area. Four individuals were arrested and a quantity of drugs was seized.

As part of the fight against delinquency and crime, the Research Brigade (BR) of Faidherbe carried out a large-scale operation which resulted in the dismantling of a well-oiled network involved in drug trafficking and pimping, Seneweb learned from Colonel Ibrahima Ndiaye, spokesperson for the National Gendarmerie.

Following the exploitation of intelligence indicating the existence of a prostitution and drug trafficking network in the Ngor area, the gendarmes carried out a thorough infiltration mission.

The investigations led to the surveillance of a place of debauchery frequented regularly by many young people. They went there either with their partners to engage in sexual acts, or to consume and/or sell narcotics.

Armed with this precise information, the gendarmes conducted a surprise raid on the premises in question on Thursday, January 8, 2026. This coordinated operation resulted in the arrest of four individuals involved in this criminal network.

The search carried out on the premises led to the discovery and seizure of a significant quantity of narcotics, according to Colonel Ibrahima Ndiaye, spokesperson for the National Gendarmerie:

-Seventy-five (75) white hashish tablets

-Fifteen (15) orange hashish tablets

-An undetermined quantity of drugs in the form of white powder has been sent to a laboratory for analysis

-Seven (07) crack stones.
