Saraya : la SR de Kédougou saisit près de 3 000 comprimés psychotropes et 1,5 kg de chanvre indien
The Kédougou Research Section conducted a security operation on Thursday, February 12, 2026, in the Bokhody area, located in the department of Saraya, between 8 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
The information was given to Seneweb by Colonel Ibrahima Ndiaye, head of the Gendarmerie's Communication and Public Relations Division.
This intervention was planned following the exploitation of intelligence indicating international drug trafficking, including psychotropic pills and Indian hemp.
At the end of the operation, the police seized one thousand seven hundred and forty Tapentadol 250 tablets, four hundred Traamking 225 tablets, four hundred and ninety Timaking 250 tablets and three hundred Diazepam tablets.
Investigators also seized one and a half kilograms of Indian hemp, forty-eight packs of Rizzla brand rolling papers, sixty bags of shisha tobacco, a bag of mercury and a motorcycle.
The traffickers flee
The three traffickers, all of foreign nationality, fled, abandoning their room and all of the prohibited goods.
