Sexe contre emploi : comment un imposteur a piégé ses victimes lors de la réception des Lions au Palais
An individual, identified by the initials BD, was arrested after setting up a sophisticated scheme involving impersonation and sexual blackmail.
The trap of the Presidential Palace
According to L'Observateur, it all began during the reception for the "Lions" at the Presidential Palace after their victory in Morocco. Taking advantage of the excitement, BD, wearing Petrosen insignia, introduced himself to a young woman, MM, as an influential agent of the Autonomous Port of Dakar (PAD). Promising jobs to the victim and her cousin, the con artist established a relationship of trust before shifting their WhatsApp exchanges into explicit sexual harassment. To ensnare his prey, he even went so far as to send a fake employment contract bearing the PAD logo, demanding sexual favors in exchange for the final signature.
Located by the DSC, he confessed.
In addition to the sexual blackmail, the accused offered the second victim, AP, a clandestine trip to Europe for 1,500,000 FCFA, via a supposed Navy captain. Exasperated, the two cousins filed a complaint, allowing the Special Cyber Division (DSC) to trace the online trail.
During his hearing, BD admitted to the facts, confessing to having fabricated all of his documents—ESP transcripts, professional engineering cards, plane tickets, and travel authorizations—using the Canva application. This "digital forger," who was flaunting his skills at the Presidential Palace, was brought before the public prosecutor at the Dakar High Court, Ibrahima Ndoye, the same source added.
