This is the story of a married woman, still in love with her ex-husband, who managed to steal 46 million CFA francs from her husband and give it to her former spouse. He had promised to take her back as his wife if she carried out this fraudulent embezzlement of his money.

Of course, it was a trick. After pocketing the money, the crook quickly made his escape.

The trial of the naive thief opened yesterday, Wednesday, May 13, before the court in Cotonou.

She promised to cooperate with the justice system so that the fraudster would be arrested.

In court, she quickly confessed. According to her 47-year-old husband, she vanished for three weeks. It was upon her return that she admitted to stealing the 46 million.

In court, the 27-year-old woman, married for 2 years, stated that she had given the stolen money to her ex-partner who then cut off all contact with her after a week.

She promised to cooperate with the authorities to ensure the fraudster is arrested, and asked her husband for forgiveness. It should be noted that her husband does not intend to put her in prison.

He asked the court to drop the charges against her, preferring to handle the matter within the family. The defense echoed his request, asking for the thief's release. The verdict is expected on June 10, 2026.

Il y a plein de cas comme ça au Sénégal juste que c’est pas connu rek (siwoul) et surtout des circonstances différentes. Genre l’ex a promis ceci ou cela et la femme naïve a laissé le mari et plus tard s’est fait piégé par l’ex!!!!
