Thiès : Réseau de prostitution aux Parcelles Assainies, 3 mois de prison ferme requis contre les « tenancières »
The Thiès court of summary jurisdiction examined, this Friday, December 26, 2025, the pimping case involving three women: R. Mbaye, M. Faye, and F. Ndiaye. Accused of having transformed an apartment into a brothel, they face a three-month prison sentence.
The three defendants, residents of the Parcelles Assainies neighborhood in Thiès, had been under surveillance since posting suggestive advertisements on social media. These posts, intended to attract male clients, eventually alerted officers at the local police station.
During the raid, police conducted a thorough search of the apartment. The results confirmed suspicions of pimping: ten cell phones used to arrange appointments, health records, and a large quantity of condoms were seized by investigators. Following the raid, the three women involved were remanded in custody.
In court, the defendants attempted a strategy of systematic denial, recanting the detailed confessions they had made during the preliminary investigation. Before the police, F. Ndiaye had, however, described the network's organization in detail, claiming to work for R. Mbaye and M. Faye. She specified her role as a switchboard operator, responsible for scheduling appointments, the fees for which ranged from 5,000 to 10,000 FCFA.
Despite these reversals during the hearing, the public prosecutor maintained that the defendants' guilt was beyond doubt. He therefore requested a three-month prison sentence for the trio.
The court has taken the case under advisement and will deliver its judgment soon.
