A. Ndiaye, a bricklayer residing in the Ndiogop neighborhood of Touba, is in serious trouble. Placed in police custody, he is accused of having subjected a young woman, C. Mbaye, to prolonged sexual blackmail.
According to L'Observateur's account, the accused, after gaining the victim's trust online, convinced her to send him an intimate video. Once he had the file, he threatened to share it with her family in order to force her into repeated sexual relations.
Thinking the blackmail would end after their first meeting, the young woman instead endured continuous pressure for several months. "He never stopped blackmailing her," reports the newspaper of the Groupe Futurs Médias (GFM), citing a police source.
Exhausted, C. Mbaye finally filed a complaint. A. Ndiaye was arrested, and his phones are currently being analyzed. He is being prosecuted for the illegal collection of personal data, blackmail, and the illegal distribution of obscene material.
