«Quand j'entends sa voix, je tremble» : étranglée par son fils, une mère sauvée de justesse par ses voisins
Mr. Bangoura, 30, the eldest son of a family from Mbour, appeared before the Magistrates' Court for assaulting his widowed and very ill mother in a fit of extreme violence. According to the newspaper L'Observateur, the incident occurred last October.
Weakened by illness and without resources, the mother, D. Bodian, had prepared a simple spaghetti sauce. Upon her return, her eldest son, who had no professional qualifications, berated her, accusing her of not serving rice. As his mother sought refuge in her room to escape his anger, the young man followed her. He struck her violently on the knee with a bench, punched her repeatedly, and then poured a bucket of water over her. The situation turned horrific when Mouhamed Bangoura grabbed a piece of cloth and tried to strangle her, determined to kill her. The cries of the other children alerted the neighbors, who intervened just in time to save the victim.
During the trial, the widow, in tears, described the ordeal she had endured for years: insults, threats, and repeated assaults. "He exhausts me too much... Even when I hear his voice, I tremble," she confided, as reported by the daily newspaper of the Groupe Futurs Médias (Gfm).
Facing him, the accused, smiling in the dock, denied raising a hand to his mother, admitting only to an argument, while acknowledging that he had never contributed to family expenses. Quoted by the same source, the prosecutor didn't hold back. Denouncing the behavior as "unacceptable and deeply disrespectful," the public prosecutor requested a two-year prison sentence for the defendant. The verdict is expected on Thursday, December 18, according to the Gfm news report.

La part des hommes politiques est énorme surtout, en toute sincérité, depuis l'émergence de pastef et de l'homme sonko. On n'a jamais entendu un homme politique parler si vulgairement des choses de la cité. jamais !!!
Il est temps de se reprendre et pour cela tous sont concernés ( surtout les magistrats, les officiers généraux et les grands universitaires)
