Ziguinchor : Un chauffeur viole une collégienne de 14 ans derrière les salles de classe, la victime tombe enceinte
On April 20, 2026, at around 7 p.m., members of the research brigade of the central police station of Ziguinchor arrested D.Nianka, 27 years old, driver, residing in Kandé, for rape of a minor of 14 years old resulting in pregnancy.
It all began with a mother's concern over her daughter's unusual behavior over several days. When questioned, the young girl admitted she hadn't had her period in a long time. Alarmed, her mother asked her niece to administer a pregnancy test, which came back positive. A subsequent hospital diagnosis confirmed a four-month pregnancy. The mother then decided to file a complaint with the central police station in Ziguinchor.
According to the victim's account, the incident occurred in December 2025 at the Kandé Alassane school. That evening, the young girl had just participated in a cleanup activity organized in preparation for the Christmas holidays. Around 8:00 p.m., at the end of the activity, D. Nianka approached her and offered to accompany her to the Jakarta bus stop, covering her transportation costs. The student accepted.
After a short walk, the accused led her inside the school grounds and took her behind the classrooms, where he forced her to lie down. He removed her skirt before forcing her to have sexual intercourse with him. Once he had done so, he gave her a 500 FCFA note, which he presented as transportation costs.
When confronted with the facts during his hearing, D.Nianka admitted to having had sexual relations with the minor behind the classrooms of the Kandé Alassane school, according to Seneweb sources.
In an attempt to justify himself, he claims that she was his girlfriend and that he was unaware of her real age at the time of the events.
Given the victim's very fragile state of health, she was placed at the disposal of the Open Environment Educational Action (AEMO) services for appropriate care.
Following advice from the prosecutor's office, D. Nianka was taken into custody for the rape of a 14-year-old minor resulting in pregnancy. The investigation is ongoing.
