Un livreur perd quatre iPhone et accuse la "folie de la CAN"
A. Fall, a 21-year-old delivery driver, appeared in court for the alleged theft of four iPhones during a delivery. The incident occurred on the day of the Senegalese national team's semi-final match.
In court, the defendant denied any fraudulent intent. He claimed that the phones had fallen from his vehicle while he was driving, at the very moment when supporters were loudly celebrating Senegal's qualification for the final of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN).
The victim, Mr. Sow, explained that he had gone a long time without receiving his order. It was only after contacting the delivery driver that he was informed of the loss of the items. Mr. Sow is claiming 850,000 FCFA in compensation for the damages suffered.
Believing that the facts are consistent, the public prosecutor requested the application of the law.
The verdict is expected soon.
