Young G. Seck is being prosecuted for breach of trust. According to the plaintiff, P. Niang, he had borrowed his motorcycle to run errands. When he returned the keys, G. Seck sold the motorcycle for 130,000 CFA francs and then reenacted the theft.
Not believing a word of it, P. Niang filed a complaint with the police. G. Seck was arrested and remanded in custody.
In the dock of the Thiès court for flagrant offenses, G. Seck denied the accusations, but the plaintiff maintained its allegations, before demanding 400,000 CFA francs in damages. The public prosecutor requested a six-month prison sentence.
In the end, the court sentenced G. Seck to 6 months in prison and ordered him to pay P. Niang the sum of 400,000 CFA francs in damages.
