Brooklyn Beckham has had a tattoo removed that honored his father, David Beckham, amid escalating family tensions. The tattoo, an anchor with the word "DAD" in the center of his right arm, now appears to be covered with a starfish and two lifebuoys, according to new photos taken in Los Angeles where he is seen with his wife, Nicola Peltz.
Brooklyn Beckham's entourage is adamant: "He wanted her gone."
A source close to Brooklyn told The Sun that the 26-year-old had undergone laser removal to alter his tattoo. "He wanted to get rid of it," the source said. The same source confirmed that Brooklyn had also covered up the tattoo on his chest dedicated to his mother, Victoria Beckham. "Seeing Brooklyn cover up both of his parents' tattoos is painful. It's cruel and it only makes things worse," the source commented.
This episode further fuels the bitter public feud that Brooklyn sparked last month with an Instagram post accusing his parents of trying to sabotage his marriage to Nicola Peltz and declaring he had no desire for reconciliation. Among the most controversial accusations, Brooklyn claimed that Victoria had behaved "inappropriately" during their 2022 wedding.
While the Beckham family projects an image of unity in public, Nicola's father, investor Nelson Peltz, has spoken out for the first time about the situation. At an event in Florida, he joked about the media attention and emphasized that Brooklyn and his daughter were "doing great" and wished them a long and happy marriage. "My daughter and the Beckhams are a different story; we're not going to talk about that today," he added.
Brooklyn's decision to erase the family tattoos is undoubtedly another episode that confirms the ongoing tensions between him and his parents, and raises questions about how this relationship will evolve in the coming months.
