La Chine s'engage à réduire ses émissions de gaz à effet de serre de 7 à 10% d'ici 2035
The Chinese president personally announced his country's new climate pledge on Wednesday, pledging to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 7 to 10 percent by 2035.
"China will reduce its net economy-wide greenhouse gas emissions by 7 to 10 percent from the peak level," which is not yet known but could be reached this year, Xi Jinping said during a video address to a UN climate summit. China has never before committed to a specific figure in the short or medium term. It has set itself the goal of carbon neutrality by 2060 and has previously promised to reach a peak before 2030, which it appears on track to achieve in 2025 thanks to the rise of solar energy and electric cars.
