Collision de deux appareils à l'aéroport de LaGuardia de New York

Two planes collided Wednesday evening on a runway at New York's LaGuardia Airport, slightly injuring two people, airport authorities and Delta Air Lines announced.

The crash involving two aircraft of Delta's regional airline, Endeavor Air, occurred at 9:58 p.m. local time (01:58 GMT) as one of the planes was landing and the other was preparing for takeoff, according to airport authorities.

One person was hospitalized after suffering "non-life-threatening injuries," airport authorities said. Delta said a crew member suffered minor injuries.

Both aircraft are Bombardier CRJ900s. The airport, one of the busiest in the United States, has not been closed.

Delta, Endeavor Air's parent company, said it would "cooperate with all appropriate authorities to review" safety measures following what the airline described in a statement as "a low-speed collision while taxiing."

According to the company, a wing of the plane that was preparing to take off came into contact with the fuselage of the plane that had just landed.

The two aircraft were carrying a total of 93 passengers and crew, the airline said.
