In the night from Thursday to Friday, around 3:30 a.m., a 57-year-old farm worker died of a heart attack on the farmers' roadblock on the M7, near Oullins-Pierre-Bénite, close to Lyon, a source told 20 Minutes, confirming information from BFMTV.
According to initial reports, the farmer suffered chest pains and collapsed. Paramedics and firefighters quickly responded. Upon their arrival, he was in cardiac arrest. Despite their attempts to resuscitate him, the man in his fifties died at the scene.
The victim was participating in the mobilization on the road axis, which has been taking place since Monday at the call of the Rural Coordination, against the free trade agreement with Mercosur.
