France : Un ressortissant ivoirien renvoyé dans son pays après s'être mal comporté lors d'un cours sur l’histoire de l’Islam
An 18-year-old Ivorian national was recently deported from France, according to the newspaper Fraternité Matin. The young man was subject to a deportation order (OQTF - Obligation to Leave French Territory) issued by the prefect of Loir-et-Cher. He was deemed a threat to public order.
Indeed, according to the prefectural press release, the young man, enrolled in a public high school in Blois, has distinguished himself in recent months by several breaches of conduct which are contrary to the rules of his establishment.
Arrested for threatening a person carrying out a public service mission
While attending a history and geography class on the history of Islam on January 30th, the young Ivorian reportedly behaved in a threatening manner towards his teacher. This led to his precautionary suspension from the school.
He was then arrested for threatening a person carrying out a public service mission and placed in police custody.
At the end of his detention, the prefect of Loir-et-Cher issued him a deportation order, deeming his behavior a threat to public order. The young man's various appeals to remain in France were all rejected. He was therefore expelled and will not be allowed to return.
