En un an, Donald Trump, «président de la paix» a ordonné autant de frappes aériennes que pendant la présidence de Biden
Since returning to the White House in January 2025, Donald Trump has ordered almost as many airstrikes as Joe Biden did during his entire presidency, according to a count by the NGO ACLED. In one year, the US military conducted 672 strikes, primarily in Yemen and Somalia, resulting in more than 1,000 deaths. This military strategy stands in stark contrast to the image of a "peace president" that the president has cultivated.
It's nothing new: Donald Trump claims the title of "peace president." Yet the figures paint a very different picture. Since his return to power just a year ago, the US military has conducted almost as many airstrikes as during Joe Biden's entire presidency, according to a count by the specialized NGO ACLED.

The strikes carried out in early January against Venezuelan air defenses, during the capture of Nicolás Maduro on January 3, 2026, brought to 672 the total number of air or drone strikes ordered since the inauguration of Donald Trump on January 20, 2025. By comparison, Joe Biden had ordered 694 over the entire term, between 2021 and 2025.
The Republican president has already far surpassed his predecessor in the number of strikes conducted outside of an international coalition. ACLED counted 587 under Trump in one year, compared to 494 for Biden over four years.
