The husband, sitting quietly in front of the TV, was watching this Serie A match. There came a moment when the referee, after consulting VAR, overturned a penalty awarded to Napoli.
"Go away or I'll stab you."
The 40-year-old man reacted by hurling colorful insults at the judge. His wife, taking his invective as a personal attack, retorted, "Go away or I'll stab you!" Naturally, the husband didn't understand what his wife was saying.
She throws him a pair of scissors. He misses, but that's just the beginning. She runs into the kitchen, grabs a knife, and aims for his left side. She misses again. Then she aims for his right side, and this time the blade goes in.
As the husband desperately called for help, the woman continued to throw knives at him. Finally, the unfortunate man managed to alert the police, who arrived at the scene and arrested the attacker.

The man was taken to Loreto Mare Hospital in Naples for treatment. His wife will have to answer to the law. She is being prosecuted for assault. Before the doctors in the psychiatric ward where she was admitted for severe agitation, she said she reacted to an insult directed at her deceased grandmother.
