Jordan Bardella visé par une plainte déposée au PNF pour favoritisme et détournement de fonds publics
Following revelations by the satirical weekly Le Canard Enchaîné, the AC Corruption association filed a complaint with the National Financial Prosecutor's Office, which BFM was able to review. The complaint concerns the remuneration of Pascal Humeau, hired as a "media coach" for the president of the National Rally.
The AC Corruption association is filing a complaint with the National Financial Prosecutor's Office for favoritism and misappropriation of public funds against X, following the publication of a press article in Le Canard Enchaîné revealing the details of the contractual relationship linking the RN and Pascal Humeau, hired as a "media-trainer" from 2019.
The complaint, which BFMTV was able to consult, states that "having been hired with the aim of training and preparing the European elected officials of the National Rally for media appearances, Mr. Humeau was paid by the European Parliament on the basis of the budget allocated to the elected officials."
However, the article reveals that from September 2021, "Mr. Humeau was tasked with assisting Jordan Bardella not with his knowledge of current European affairs but with a view to preparing for the 2022 French presidential election and therefore on domestic political issues."
The revelation of these facts concerning the use, by elected officials of the National Rally, of funds from the European Parliament must necessarily be placed in the context of the recent conviction of the political party and twenty-five of its executives and collaborators for misappropriation of public funds in the parliamentary assistants case.
Furthermore, the European Public Prosecutor's Office has already opened an investigation, in July 2025, against the Identity and Democracy Group (IDG) for financial irregularities concerning the use of the communication budget, known as "budget 400" of European elected officials, it is specified in this complaint.
The article in Le Canard Enchaîné reports Pascal Humeau's own statement that the call for tenders was merely a formality and that he had been told the contract would be awarded to him because Jordan Bardella, elected to the European Parliament in 2019, wanted to work with him. All of these elements demonstrate a lack of understanding of European public procurement rules, aimed at favoring the company "Kon Tiki" and Pascal Humeau, in direct contradiction with the principle of equal treatment of candidates. Consequently, the AC Anticorruption association believes that the elements constituting the offense of favoritism are present.
According to the AC Corruption association, the payment to Pascal Humeau's company, using funds from the European budget, of salaries following multiple media training sessions given to Jordan Bardella on internal policy issues constitutes a misappropriation of public funds within the meaning of article 432-15 of the penal code.
The AC Corruption association specifies that this complaint is part of a series of cases of hidden financing of this RN party which aim to capture money wherever it may be in order to harm the equality of parties and democratic pluralism.
"Not content with being supported by French billionaires, the RN shamelessly plunders public funds to extend its political hegemony. The French justice system and the European Public Prosecutor's Office must consider all cases affecting the RN in a comprehensive and systemic way, because it is purely and simply a methodical and structured practice developed by the RN to misappropriate public funds, whether national or European," denounces this anti-corruption association.
Contacted by BFMTV, Jordan Bardella's office responded to the complaint. "Jordan Bardella naturally contests these accusations against him in the current political climate and reserves the right to pursue legal action for defamation and slander."
