She was a leading figure in the College Republicans of America, the oldest and largest conservative youth political organization in the United States. But recently, Kaya Walker, president of the College Republicans chapter at New York University, spoke to Vanity Fair about Barron Trump's life on campus. A decision that has cost her dearly. Indeed, the American media outlet quotes the young woman as saying that Donald Trump's son doesn't really fit in with campus life and doesn't have many friends. He's "kind of an anomaly on campus," Kaya Walker commented. "He goes to class and then goes home."
But this remark did not sit well with the College Republicans, who are determined to defend Barron Trump at all costs. Supporters of the US president's son published a statement on their X account. "We have been made aware of a statement by the president of the New York University chapter that does not align with the values and principles upheld by our organization," the College Republicans stated.
A forced resignation
In their message, members of the conservative organization announced that Kaya Walker, "the president of the New York University chapter," had submitted her resignation the day before the press release was published. But according to the New York Post, Kaya Walker was allegedly forced to resign. On X, the president of the College of Republicans of America, Will Donahue, then invited Barron Trump to join the organization, as a potential heir to the Republican Party.
“Barron Trump represents the future of the conservative movement, and we would be deeply honored if he joined the College of Republicans of America,” wrote the leader of the conservative organization. “Strong leadership relies on resilience, courage, and the humility to rise above petty hostility—qualities Barron has already demonstrated. We invite Barron to join us in shaping the future of our party.” Will the US president’s son emerge from his reserve to become a prominent figure in the College of Republicans, or will he choose to remain discreet until he finishes his studies?
