L’horreur en plein mariage : l’époux tué par balles « involontairement » par une membre de la famille de la mariée
The ceremony, which took place in Şebinkarahisar, in northern Turkey, turned tragic. A relative of the bride, identified as the victim's sister-in-law, reportedly "lost control" of her weapon while firing into the air.
The beautiful ceremony took place without a single incident... until the two lovers left. A wedding turned tragic this Wednesday in Turkey after the death of the groom, shot dead "unintentionally" by a member of the bride's family.
As reported by several local media outlets, relayed by The Guardian , the incident took place as the young lovebirds were about to be escorted home after the ceremony. The groom, identified as Ali K, aged 23, was then hit by a bullet . Seriously injured, he was taken to the local public hospital before dying an hour later.
The shots were fired by a woman arrested by police with two unlicensed pistols, according to the official Anadolu news agency.
The latter, a member of the wife's family, is believed to be none other than the victim's sister-in-law . The prosecutor's office has opened an investigation into the incident, which occurred in Şebinkarahisar, a town in the northern province of Giresun, to understand what could have happened.
According to initial media reports, the woman "lost control of her weapon" while firing into the air to celebrate the newlyweds . Such gunfire, a way of celebrating the wedding, is common at weddings in the Black Sea region of northern Turkey.
Another man died last week and two others were injured by gunfire during a pre-wedding celebration in the northeastern province of Trabzon, The Guardian reports. The wedding was canceled and two people were arrested, including a police officer.

Doyna waar
