Mexique : Un crocodile tue un homme devant des touristes
Tragedy struck the resort town of Puerto Vallarta in Mexico. A 28-year-old man was killed last Friday by a crocodile on a beach in this tourist destination.
Vacationers from Orange County witnessed the attack. According to them, the reptile grabbed the man by the leg and dragged him underwater.
They reportedly tried to save the unfortunate man by throwing him a lifebuoy. But he was unfortunately unable to catch it. Moments later, the poor man disappeared beneath the water.
Police and rescue teams searched for him throughout Friday night. His body was only found on Saturday morning, about 300 meters from the shore. The Puerto Vallarta hotel, on whose beach the tragedy occurred, stated that warning signs were in place at the time of the incident.
It must be said that American crocodiles inhabit the region at this time of year. They frequently venture onto the shore.
